About Evoledil
|
|
|
EVOLEDIL ("Evolution/Education in Illinois") is a discussion group
designed to assist biologists and biology teachers to combat creationism in
the public school system of Illinois. Organized by the American Institute
for Biological Sciences and its member societies, this list-serve is one of
many that each represent the different states (within the U.S.), and is
intended to: (1) serve as a support group for teachers who are on the
front line; (2) help educators deal with students that may have existential
conflicts between scientific reality and religious belief systems; (3) keep
abreast of policies up for adoption by local school boards, state
legislatures etc.; and, (4) alert people as to the need for letters to the
editor, letters to legislators, & attending hearings.
